I've been wearing a lot of leopard lately, so naturally I've been hunting for the perfect leopard coat to wear when the weather gets chilly. But I'm debating on whether to go tailored trench or fun and fuzzy.

Pantone recently named Dazzling Blue as one of its colors for Spring 2014, which I could not be more excited about:  I'm a sucker for anything in a cobalt hue. I feel like I should be focusing on patterns and cozy knits in neutral colors right now, but I can't help but mix in bright blues to my ever-growing wish list.

Fall wardrobe wish list

Fall is my favorite season, so it's only natural that my wish list this season is much, much longer than it has been in a while. At the top of my list are a girly bow-detailed coat and a (faux) leather skirt. I already purchased one at Zara, but I have a feeling I'm going to be filling my closet with more before the season's end.

ombre perfection

I was perusing the latest from Monique Lhuillier and cannot even handle how much I love these dresses. Talk about ombre perfection!

The first one has an incredible over-the-shoulder wing detail that I would love any day of the week, and the third is an interesting mix of a black and blue combo that would have been a faux pas but I'm glad is now on-trend. They're all out of my budget, or I would snap up all three and find an excuse to wear them all.

February's covet list is all about texture and girly things. This leather-and-crepe dress is one of my favorite finds lately, and the lace detail on the cuff is beautiful. February is a tough month in New England. Part of me wants to stay in the winter mindset with darker colors and heavier fabrics, and the other part of me wants to dive into the spring months, with sorbet-colored bags and bow-backed dresses.

Zara Home launches tomorrow online in the US! I've posted about the store before, and I'm so excited to be able to purchase items without having to fly across the Atlantic.

Great timing, too, because I just started my Christmas shopping last week! (Don't think I'm too organized- normally I start my shopping early and then manage to forget to do all of my wrapping until the night before.)

store spotlight: zara home

There are some stores that put out images I'd love to just crawl into. Zara Home does this to me often with its luscious Parisian style. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough suitcase space to bring stuff back when I went to Paris earlier this year, but working at a company that has EU offices is definitely a plus - might have to have some things brought back for me next time someone takes a trip!
